SOFTWARE PRODUCTS

Four tools we built for our own deployments.

We deploy UniFi systems for a living. When a site needed something the platform did not cover, we wrote it, put it into service, and kept supporting it. Three are licensed products running at customer sites today, including our own. The fourth is free for noncommercial use and lives on GitHub.

🔒 UniFi Access Sentry

Overnight door watchdog & scheduling for UniFi Access

Sentry monitor tab showing eight doors with lock state, position, last access, and the action the app took
Sentry scheduling tab with a month calendar and the resolved schedule list for the selected day
Sentry security tab listing denied access attempts, with those inside the watch window highlighted
Sentry users tab listing badge holders with credentials and their recent door activity

For UniFi Access door systems

Doors that lock themselves

A door left unlocked overnight is how "nothing ever happens here" ends. Sentry is a live dashboard and watchdog for UniFi Access: it watches every door, and during your watch windows it drives any unlocked door back to locked, then logs exactly what it did and tells you about it.

Windows Runs as a service Signed builds
  • Live dashboard of every door's lock and position state, with manual lock / unlock / lockdown controls
  • Automatic enforcement: unlocked doors are re-locked during the watch window, with retries, cooldowns, and a full activity log
  • Per-door scheduling to the minute: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or one-off, with enforce, exempt, and unlock modes and .ics calendar import from Outlook or Google
  • Site-wide emergency lockdown you can trigger and clear in one click
  • Webhook and formatted HTML email alerts, so admins know the moment something is off
Lite

Always included

Door monitoring and lock enforcement come with every tier. The part that keeps a building secure should never be the part a licence takes away.

Pro

Full administrative suite

Adds security tooling, user management, and audit features. Licensed by door band. Monitoring is never capped, whatever your tier.

For UniFi Protect cameras

Cameras that notice when someone needs help

Your cameras already see everything. UPAD works out which of it matters. UniFi Protect Advanced Detections watches person events for the moments minutes count: a fall, someone in distress, a visible weapon, fire or smoke near a person. When it sees one, a human gets a snapshot and a plain-English assessment, then decides what to do.

Windows Local AI on board Claude-powered advanced tier
  • Claude vision assesses every event and returns a plain-English verdict on falls, injury, weapons, fire, and trapped persons
  • On-device human detection finds the people first, so only the part of the frame that matters is sent: cheaper to run, and a closer look at what counts
  • Judges a window, not a snapshot: several seconds spanning the event, so a fall is told apart from a stumble by whether the person stays down
  • Alerts with a snapshot and assessment via ntfy, Pushover, or any webhook
  • Runs on your own Anthropic API key, so you hold the account and pay Anthropic directly for what the analysis uses, with no markup from us
  • Layered cost controls: per-camera cooldowns, active hours, pinned clean-scene references, repeat-scene suppression, and a frame-size cap that cut our own test site's bill substantially
  • Human-in-the-loop by design: observe-and-notify only. No facial recognition, no identification, and no autonomous actions, ever
Pro

AI safety detection

Claude-powered scene assessment across every safety category, with on-device human detection aiming each request at the people in view. Licensed per camera band.

Workforce

Zone occupancy

Measures how long areas stay occupied, counting people rather than identifying them. A separate product with its own key. It needs no Advanced Detections licence and can be bought on its own.

👁 UPAD

AI-assisted safety monitoring for UniFi Protect

UPAD monitor tab listing camera events with severity and a plain-English assessment of each one
UPAD camera tuning tab with a per-camera table of thresholds, hold times, and image sizes
UPAD settings tab showing the Protect connection, capture window, and detection cost controls
UPAD workforce tab showing a week of zone occupancy totals by zone and camera

Screens shown running on sample data.

🧾 LSProtect

POS-to-camera loss prevention for Lightspeed Retail

LSProtect dashboard showing engine status and the live register feed
LSProtect event log listing sales, voids, and returns with the rule that matched and the delivery status
LSProtect drawer audit ranking candidate transactions for a $4.82 shortage with camera snapshots

Screens shown running on sample data.

For Lightspeed Retail + UniFi Protect

Every sale. Every void. On camera, to the second.

"The drawer is off by $4.82. Now what?" LSProtect bridges your Lightspeed Retail POS and your UniFi Protect cameras: every completed sale, void, return, and register open fires a camera event at the exact transaction moment. When something looks wrong, the footage is already found.

Windows Runs as a service LAN-only, no cloud
  • Real-time POS events: completed sales, voids, returns, and register open/close trigger UniFi Alarm Manager the moment they happen
  • Camera snapshots pinned to each transaction: register view, cashier, and amount side by side, with the exact timestamp to scrub straight to full video
  • Drawer audit: enter how far the drawer is off and get ranked candidates (exact matches, bill-swap suspects, and tender combinations) with camera snapshots inline
  • Flexible rules by outlet, register, and minimum amount, with test webhooks to verify the alarm path end to end
  • Runs entirely on your LAN, so there is no cloud endpoint to expose, and API credentials are stored encrypted on-device
Lite

Event forwarding & snapshots

Sales, voids, returns, and register events with Alarm Manager webhooks, pinned camera snapshots, and the full event log.

Pro

Adds the drawer audit

The end-of-day discrepancy finder. Licensed per register band. Tracked registers are always explicit, never silently dropped.

For UniFi Protect, Access & Network

An alert nobody saw is not an alert

UniFi tells you a door was forced. Once. If nobody was looking at their phone that minute, it is gone: no re-alert, no acknowledgement, no record that a human ever saw it. Notification Matrix turns a one-shot UniFi event into a tracked incident that keeps escalating until somebody closes it.

Windows & Linux Free for noncommercial use Source available on GitHub
  • Reads Protect, Access, and Network over the API and inbound webhooks, including door forced-open and held-open alarms that UniFi's own API never reports
  • Five severities, each with an escalation ladder that widens over time: ntfy, Pushover, email, a JSON webhook, and at the top rung a phone call
  • One-tap acknowledgement with no login, and the incident stays open until the condition itself clears, not just until somebody looked
  • Local web incident board with rule and policy editors, plus an append-only audit record of every event, delivery, and silence
  • A deadman on every source, so a console that goes quiet raises an incident instead of passing for calm
  • Signed, reproducible builds: Authenticode on Windows, with a Sigstore bundle and SLSA provenance alongside every binary
Noncommercial- free

Yours to run and modify

Personal use, research and study, charities, schools, public safety and health bodies, and government, however they are funded. Download a signed binary or build it from source.

Commercial

Covered by the product it runs with

Business use needs a commercial license, and any licensed product of ours that integrates with it carries one: license Sentry and Notification Matrix is covered alongside it. Running it on its own at a business? Talk to us at licensing@xtremission.com.

It is built to sit beside the rest of the family rather than duplicate it. Sentry drives an unlocked door back to locked; Notification Matrix makes sure a human hears about it, and answers. A proprietary link between the four is in development, so an incident raised in one will carry the context the others already hold.

🔔 UniFi Notification Matrix

Escalating incidents for UniFi Protect, Access & Network

Notification Matrix incident board listing open and recently closed incidents with severity, source, alert counts, and acknowledge and close buttons
Notification Matrix escalation editor: a row per severity with channel checkboxes, repeat interval, give-up time, and quiet hours
Notification Matrix health tab showing three reporting sources with last-seen times, channel states with one failing, and service status

Screens shown running in the built-in demo mode.

BUILT LIKE WE'D WANT TO BUY IT

One product family, one standard

Sentry, UPAD, LSProtect, and Notification Matrix share the same design language and the same signed build and update pipeline, so what you learn running one carries straight over to the next. The three licensed products share a licensing platform too; Notification Matrix is free for noncommercial use, and covered commercially by whichever of them it runs alongside.

🔑

Simple, honest licensing

A compact cryptographically signed key unlocks your tier. No account to create, no activation server to depend on. Keys are per-product and verified entirely on your machine.

🛡

Installs and updates itself

Each product ships as an Authenticode-signed installer with a second integrity signature alongside it. Once it's in place it keeps itself current from our release feed. A typical update pulls only what changed, a few megabytes rather than the whole application, and applies on the next restart. A portable single-file build stays available for machines that would rather not run an installer.

Help whenever you need it

Call or email about setup, tuning, or anything that looks wrong, and you reach the people who wrote the code. We run all four at our own sites, so you are asking someone who uses them daily. No ticket queue, no first-line script.
